About me

A wee bit about me! I am from Northern Ireland, and live in Manchester with my husband & pooch, Atlas! I’m a qualified psychotherapist with an MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy (Contemporary Creative Approaches). With nearly 2,000 clinical practice hours, I have a wealth of experience across different settings, including private practice and charity organisations. I offer therapy remotely and face-to-face, working with men, women, non-binary people, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

my approach
At the heart of my work is person-centred psychotherapy, which is based on the belief that every person has their own inner wisdom and the capacity for growth. I see my role as providing a safe and down-to-earth space where you feel heard, valued, and accepted. Through this, you can build confidence in your own decisions and deepen your understanding of yourself.

I recognise that healing isn’t always straightforward, and I understand how important it is to feel supported throughout the process. Whether you’re facing life transitions, emotional struggles, or deep-seated challenges, I’ll be here to help you explore and make sense of your experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
Sometimes, words alone don’t capture what we’re feeling. That’s why I also offer creative approaches to self-expression, such as doodling or collage. These methods can be particularly helpful when emotions feel too complex to put into words. Creativity in therapy is always invitational—if talking is what feels right for you, that’s absolutely enough.

specialist areas
I have a particular passion for working with women’s issues, supporting individuals through experiences such as:
-
Low self-esteem and self-worth
-
Discrimination and patriarchal challenges
-
Sexual trauma and past experiences of domestic abuse
-
Eating disorders and body image concerns
-
Infertility, new motherhood, and post-partum depression
I believe in honouring and creating space for these experiences, allowing women to reconnect with their inner strength, break free from old patterns, and move forward in a way that feels authentic and empowering.

couples therapy

Relationships, no matter how strong, can face difficulties. Whether you're navigating communication challenges, trust issues, or shifting dynamics, couples therapy can help you both gain clarity, deepen connection, and foster meaningful change in your relationship.
I work with couples of all genders and relationship structures, including LGBTQIA+ and non-traditional relationships. My approach is supportive and collaborative—helping each partner feel heard and understood, without judgment.
Together, we can explore:
-
Healthy communication and conflict resolution
-
Rebuilding trust after difficult life events
-
Emotional intimacy and connection
-
Relationship patterns that may be causing tension
-
Navigating major life transitions (parenthood, career shifts, loss, etc.)
For those who are open to it, I also integrate creative techniques into couples therapy, offering new ways to express emotions and understand one another beyond words.
Whether you're seeking therapy as an individual or as a couple, my priority is to offer a compassionate and supportive space where you can explore, heal, and grow—on your terms.
